TQR Regional Leaders

A New TQR Initiative

We would like to introduce an addition to our TQR community.  We have faced some challenges  in editing and mentoring qualitative inquiry authors due to our limitations in only speaking English and having been heavily shaped by Western practices with respect to writing and publishing. In trying to offer more effective and more meaningful community interaction we are inviting TQR published authors to consider a new initiative we are calling “Regional Leaders.”

Regional Leaders are those in the TQR community who are interested in helping others in their own locale develop plans for their research projects and as well as help with article revisions. They are located in various countries around the world and can offer qualitative research development opportunities to aspiring local authors using the preferred local languages and in alignment with their cultural traditions and practices. Regional Leaders can join us in increasing our TQR community support and mentorship by providing in-person/online trainings, workshops, and networking opportunities in their geographical areas in the local languages.

Our hope is that through this initiative TQR community members will be able to

  • deliver qualitative research manuscript assistance and training to support current and emerging authors in their own regions,
  • assist in the growth of networks between current and emerging regional leaders, mentors and other authors where appropriate to help maximize the impacts of their research,
  • provide participants with opportunities and techniques to develop more and better research papers relevant to their locales.

We are inviting those of you who have published in TQR and welcome our TQR mentoring spirit to volunteer and together we will develop processes that bring relevant and timely assistance to new and veteran qualitative researchers in under-resourced regions around the world.
